It has been said that we are not human beings having a spiritual experience,
but rather, we are SPIRITUAL beings having a human experience
The creators of "Your Child's Soul" believe in the "eternal perspective" of life.
In other words, life does not begin and end on this, our planet Earth.
There is a continuum of our life force that inherently remembers thoughts,
sights, and sounds of a previous existence. Where, when and how we existed
prior to now is not only impossible to know, but irrelevant.
What is enormously relevant is the fact that we are given such
brief glimpses into this other world by the purest of beings, our children.
They visit and share our space for such a finite period of time.
They walk among us so innocent and naive yet profoundly wise and insightful.
Somehow they are still connected to that other place that is, by definition,
the manifestation of love eternal.
As a father of three young children, I have witnessed first hand the silliness,
the joy, the bickering, the exploration of new worlds through infant eyes.
Yet, it is the occasional, nonchalant utterings that leave a parent speechless
if we truly listen to what the children are telling us.
The idea to compile such conversations came when I was driving my eldest son
(then four years old) and my daughter to the airport.
later realized in talking with other parents, that most have had conversations,
at one time or another, with their kids that left them with their jaws on the floor.
I've also learned since, that as these kids grow older, either their ability to remember
diminishes or their reluctance to expound increases. What a magnificent gift our world
has been given through the children, but if not encouraged and nurtured we can subsequently squander it away.

This compilation of conversations and/or comments by children
is primarily a coffee-table book filled with stunning photographs
taken by Donyell Kennedy. The photos will be both black and white and color.
They will only be of children and very artistic, i.e.: sepia tones, silhouettes,
extreme close ups etc. Except for the forward, the entire text of the book
will be the actual conversations of the children. Most will be in scripted
form similar to the previous example. Because we are, in essence, exploring
the complex simplicity of the human spirit and soul, we feel that aesthetically
the book should reflect layers and depth, but still be accessible to a child.
Therefore the book will encompass many different styled collages, colors, prints and textures.
